About Me
Ever since I was little I have loved all things that dealt with cars, and the industry that they belong to. It has been more evident in the past years that I have the ability to help people more about cars and what the best things are about them. Cars have passion, souls and live as a human-like thing to me. When I look at a car I see a face, a body, a soul, and everything incorporated with humans. I am 21 years old now and have done quite a few things with cars. I have done some mechanic work on cars, driven cars, sold cars and now I write about them. I have had 5 cars since I’ve turned 18. I love it all and I want to do it all with them. RawAutos.com is meant to be my way of doing more and getting my opinions out there to show people there is more to what the industry says there is.
While I love sports as well I am bigger into auto racing than other sports. I love football, baseball and the like, but, my friends make fun of me because we will be watching a game and during a commercial I will beg them to turn to Speed to see what’s on. Where normal guys root and holler over sports games, and while I do the same, I do it more with racing. I love watching Formula 1, ALMS (American Le Mans Series), Indy, Grand AM Rolex Sports Car, WTCC (World Touring Car Championship), Speed GT and Speed TC, and many many others. I love to analyze the racing patterns for the people that have no idea what is going on and tell them what is going on.
I am more into European cars more than any other car. My father has had a whole host of classic American cars including two 1967 Corvette’s, one 427 and a 327 convertible, along with all sorts of German cars between him and my mom. I personally have had two BMW’s, a 1996 328iS and a 2005 330i ZSP sedan (ZSP stands for Sport Package). I have also had a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox (don’t ask) and a 2007 Mazda CX-7 that I wound up trading in for a 2006 Mazda Mazdaspeed 6 that I still currently drive.
I currently belong to about 20 different car clubs/forums from all over the world. My main forums that I hang around on are NCeuro.org and CarolinaMazdas.com in North Carolina and FloridaGerman.com in Florida, along with many other Euro, American and Japanese forums. I find it interesting to learn all I can and meet all the different types of car people. I am a total car enthusiast. I don’t mind getting into friendly automotive debates with friends and fellow car club members. I try to make it to as many meets as I can but I do live 2 and a half hours away from the typical meeting places.
I quit working at the Mazda-Kia dealership I sold at on December 19, 2007. I needed more time to work with RawAutos I felt, I was also tired of a lot of the corporate stuff that went on.
Along with writing here, I am now a writer with BMWBlog.com. I love it over there. I have always been a huge BMW fan, and I love talking about them as much as I can. Plus, I know a few people at different BMW dealerships and they help me out and let me drive different cars, ie E92 M3 and 135i. Check out BMWBlog, if you love cars, you will love that website. It is the best place to go for all things BMW, such as news, opinions, BMW F1 racing news, car buying, modifying and the likes.
From time to time these days you may see an article or two from different special authors that I am friends with, like Horatiu B. The owner of BMWBlog.com. So when you see his name, definitely read through it. He is a great writer and a great friend as well.
As of today, May 21, 2008, I am a writer for AutoSportBlog.com as well. The owner of the website is a former professional racing driver from Le Mans and a manager for teams with Roger Penske and the likes. He is currently a marketing manager for Grand Am, ALMS, Speed GT and TC Challenges. His son is also a driver for Brumos Porsche in Grand Am and Flying Lizard Motorsports in ALMS. I am excited about the opportunity to write more about racing and be able to dedicate some of my time towards some of my favorite racing series’.
